On the day the NFL upheld his one-game suspension for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Browns quarterback Colt McCoy, James Harrison once again used Twitter to prove he’s not the bad guy the league seems to think he is.
“17 games,1000+ snaps, 100+ tackles, 12+sacks and 2 forces fumbles since my last incident and I get a suspension for a football play!” he tweeted.
Citing his track record of ferocious but flagrant tackles, the league handed the Steelers linebacker the one-game ban earlier this week, making Harrison the first player to earn a suspension for a what the NFL deemed a dangerous tackle. McCoy sustained a concussion from at question hit by Harrison.
This wasn’t the first time Harrison voiced his displeasure with the NFL’s decision through the Twitter medium. When the league first announced the suspension Tuesday, Harrison simply tweeted: “Lol!!!”
See, NFL! He makes Browns fans not want to drink. You know how hard that is as lousy as the Browns are these days? He’s not such a bad guy after all.
